Amazing Experiences

Have you ever reflected back on your life, and in wonder, noticed that what you once thought was an awful and scaring situation, and you would never resolve it, and later it turned out good or even better than you could have imagined.

These are scary times for so many people, mounting fears of survival, loss of a life style, and the end of the world as we know it. The old expression, if you don’t know where you have been, you won’t know where you are going, is more true now than ever.

A client of mine was terrified last year of loosing her home, and losing a job that was so stressful it was making her sick. She could not imagine how the situation she was in would ever get better. Stressed to the max she took leave of her job using the time out to reflect on her life.

She was able to see she could trust the prompting within her and let go. She had already survived many things in her life, she was ok then and she would be ok now. She decided to leave her job, and at the same time let go of her family home, the home of her children and many happy, fond memories. What courage it took to do this.

To date, she found a new job and lives in a place that is calming and within her means. She lost weight, looks younger, is happier and refreshed. She loves her new job and her co-workers love her.

I have many more stories from clients like these and a few of my own. I recall one dark cold winter evening on the way home from work. I was driving on a dark country road when my car completely stopped. The engine was dead, the lights and heat did not work. My cell phone did not work because it was out of range.

Needless to say I was concerned. It was far to many miles to walk home, I forgot my coat at work. In my fear I prayed, then all I could do was to let go.It was far to cold to stay in my car, I needed to find help. I got out of my car and started to walk when a barking dog came out of nowhere toward me, “What next”?  I ran back toward my car when I heard a man’s voice calling the dog.

I yelled as loud as I could “HELP”!  It turned out the man was a auto mechanic. We walked back to his place. His son towed my car back onto his property. It was my alternator and the mechanic would have it repaired the next day. I called my roommate for a ride home. I realized that I was safe and protected all along.

A bigger adventure in trust for me was after my divorce, I lost my home, life style and a career. I had to start all over, not an easy task. After several years I felt a call to let go once again. I left the USA and all that was familiar and ventured off to a one year walk-about in Australia with only $150 to my name. You can read more of this in my book, “Memories of a Mystic." You see I do know all about lose I have had plenty of it in my life, and I also know that it all turns out as it was meant to be. That I can and did survive when It felt like there was no way out or any hope. I know that there is always Divine guidance and assistance for all of us.

I have come to know that we can never loose that which is truly ours. If your life as you have know it is falling away, you feel panic, terror, paralyzed, then there is nothing you can do but to let go and trust the source within you to move you forward to that which is the next adventure in your life.

In place of the fear, take time to listen to your heart, soul, and inner guidance, walk, pray, meditate, process with a friend.  In the midst of this ask yourself, “What amazing experiences & opportunities am I willing to receive in 2012?”
